RVC Ed Foundation presents $1000 scholarship award to SSHS senior Michelle Cosares.
Earlier this month, on June 5 at the South Side High School senior awards evening, the Rockville Centre Education Foundation presented a $1000 scholarship award to senior Michelle Cosares.
The scholarship is presented to a South Side High School senior who best demonstrates, in his/her submission to the committee, evidence of how Education Foundation grants enriched their academic careers. The award exemplifies the positive influence Foundation grants can have on students. For the 2017-2018 school year the Education Foundation has approved nearly $70,000 in grant proposals from district administrators and teachers.
In her submission, Michelle expressed how the Tricaster Switcher System served as a catalyst for setting her career goals. This Foundation funded program allows students to develop creative and technical skills and was a major factor in Michelle’s decision to enter Temple University as a theater major with a concentration in technology and design. She eventually aspires to apply her special talents to the entertainment industry.
Many thanks to the Rockville Centre school community for the continued support of the Education Foundation's ongoing efforts to be a vibrant, significant contributor to our school childrens’ academic growth.
